Meet our SR Intern: Eric Regan
Eric Regan is a senior at Concordia University, majoring in accounting. He joined ShindelRock as a 2024 tax season intern, where he is assisting the ShindelRock tax professionals with return preparation and organizing.
What are you doing during your internship at ShindelRock? What do you hope to come away with at the end of the season?
I’m just trying to take in as much information as I can and practice as much as possible so I can plan my specializations and continue to grow as an accounting professional. I intend to come away with the skills and knowledge necessary to seek full-time employment after the completion of my internship.
What do you love about public accounting, what drew you to the profession?
I enjoy the types of problems that accountants are required to solve and how accountants interact with each other and their clients.
How did you choose ShindelRock, and what characteristics of a good place to intern did you see in ShindelRock?
I chose ShindelRock because I enjoyed the lively atmosphere and the smaller company setting. I like that employees have healthy relationships with each other and communicate effectively.
What is your background, college and degree plans, etc.?
I spent four years in the United States Marine Corps, received my supply chain degree, and began working in logistics. Over time I realized a change was necessary, and I pursued a degree in accounting. I plan to graduate in Fall ’24 and begin preparing for my CPA exam.
