Meet our Tax Season Intern: Connor Moran

Meet our tax season intern from Western Michigan University, majoring in Accounting and originally from Woodhaven, MI. This first-time accounting intern chose ShindelRock for its great workplace culture and looks forward to gaining hands-on experience with 1099s, PPTs, Business Returns, and 1040s.

Q: What previous experience do you have in accounting? 

A: This is my first accounting internship. 

Q: How did you choose ShindelRock, and what characteristics of a good place to intern did you see in ShindelRock? 

A: Shindel Rock seemed to have great workplace culture and overall seems like a great place to work! 

Q: What do you expect to work on during your internship at ShindelRock? What do you hope to come away with at the end of the season?  

A: During my tax season internship, I will be assisting with1099s, PPTs, Business Returns, 1040s, as well as admirative work. 

Q: What drew you to study accounting, and what makes you excited about the profession?  

A: I have always liked problem solving and numbers, so I thought that those two things added together equals accounting. I believe there are numerous opportunities when entering the accounting profession. 

Q: What is your background, college/major and graduation plans, etc.?  

A: I’m originally from Woodhaven, MI, and currently pursuing an Accounting major at Western Michigan University. After graduation, I plan to join a public accounting firm like ShindelRock to kickstart my career in the accounting industry.
