We’re excited to introduce our summer intern team at ShindelRock! This season, Connor and Andrew will be working alongside our professionals, gaining hands-on experience, and learning more about the many opportunities within the accounting profession.
Connor, an accounting major at Western Michigan University, is returning to ShindelRock for his second internship after a great first experience with the firm’s people and workplace culture. This summer, he expects to support the team through extended tax returns, administrative work, and research projects while continuing to explore where he wants to take his accounting career. Drawn to the profession by the wide range of opportunities it offers, Connor is excited to keep learning and growing as he builds confidence in his future career path. Originally from Downriver Michigan, he hopes to work at a great firm like ShindelRock after graduation.
Andrew, an accounting student at Eastern Michigan University, chose ShindelRock after connecting with the team during his interview and getting a strong sense of the firm’s culture. He felt ShindelRock would be the kind of environment where he could thrive. During his internship, Andrew expects to work on a wide range of projects, including file cleaning, bookkeeping in QuickBooks, research projects, and tax work. By the end of the summer, he hopes to look back and know he learned a lot. Andrew was first drawn to accounting by a high school teacher who was a CPA and gave him meaningful insight into the profession. He especially enjoys the tax side of accounting and will graduate from EMU in December with his master’s in accounting. Outside of school, he runs an e-commerce business with his two brothers and works as a Graduate Assistant at EMU.
