CTA Update: Nationwide Injunction Puts Filing Deadline on Hold

January 20, 2025

If you’ve been following the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) developments and its Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) filing requirements, you know the deadlines have shifted multiple times over the past few weeks. As of now, a nationwide injunction has halted enforcement of the CTA filing requirements altogether. In other words, there is currently no active filing deadline for BOI reports.

However, this situation remains fluid. Court decisions have already swung back and forth, so additional changes could happen quickly. We recommend keeping an eye on official FinCEN updates and consulting with your ShindelRock advisor to ensure that you’re prepared if and when the reporting requirement is reinstated.

For questions about how these changes might affect your specific circumstances, please contact us at ShindelRock.
