Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. Theis team member will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our tax department, overseeing tax compliance, planning, and consulting services for our clients. This position requires extensive tax expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
  • Provide advice and guidance to clients on complex tax issues, identifying opportunities for tax savings and strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends, and communicate these updates effectively to clients and team members.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to support tax planning and compliance efforts.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze tax returns, and related documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and addressing their tax-related needs.
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices within the tax department, enhancing efficiency and delivering exceptional service.
  • Provide guidance on tax audits and represent clients before tax authorities, demonstrating strong negotiation and advocacy skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent. CPA certification required.  Master’s degree in Taxation is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax services.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in tax software and accounting systems, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards in all aspects of work.
