Year-End Tax Deduction Reminder!!!

  • December 27, 2011
  • Steve Wisinski, CPA, MAFF

There are only 3 ½ business days left in the year, and therefore very little time left to get in those last minute tax deductions…

Some examples would be: making charitable donations (including cash, non-cash, appreciated stocks, etc.), paying your property taxes, purchasing equipment  for your business, or paying your employees or yourself a bonus.  These are all great examples of last minute things that can be done in the next 3 ½ days to minimize your tax bill.  Remember the check has to be written, dated properly, and in the mail (or in the case of equipment, it has to be in service) prior to or as of December 31, 2011, in order to claim the deduction on your 2011 income taxes.

Please give your ShindelRock representative a call if you have any questions or would like to reduce your 2011 taxes in the next 3 ½ days.  We hope you have had a great 2011, and we look forward to working with you in the new year.
