Non-tax filers in 2018 or 2019 who do not receive Social Security benefits must now register to receive federal stimulus checks
Economic Impact Payments, also called COVID-19 stimulus checks, will soon be distributed by the federal
government to all Americans according to tiered income bracket qualifications. The stimulus payments are automatic for most taxpayers; no further action is needed by taxpayers who filed tax returns in 2018 and 2019 and most seniors and retirees. However, non-tax filers in 2018 or 2019 who do not already receive Social Security benefits must register here in order to receive their Economic Impact Payment.
Separately, filers who need to update direct deposit information can do so here once the link is live mid-April.
