Mostly Unknown Pension Benefit Available For Veterans
American wartime veterans may qualify for an annual pension with aid and attendance benefits. This tax free benefit is paid monthly to the veteran or spouse. This benefit may help offset the cost of:
- Assisted Living
- Nursing Home
- Enhanced Independent Living
This benefit is available in many senior living communities.
Three Key Eligibility Requirements:
1. The veteran must have served in active military for 90 or more consecutive days, with at least one day during a period of wartime as defined by the Veterans Administration.
2. The veteran must have been discharged under other than dishonorable conditions.
3. The veteran must be over the age of 65 or disabled.
