You’re a Staff Accountant at ShindelRock–tell us about what you do for clients.
Just about anything they need! I work on all types of accounting, financial statement preparation, tax return preparations and projections, income forecasting, and financial planning.
What do you like about your job and the work you get to do?
I love being able to assist my clients with interpreting their financial data to user friendly information that can help them grow their business.
How long have you been with ShindelRock? What do you like about the firm?
I started at ShindelRock in October 2009, so almost three years now. I like our firm’s approach to service–it allows me to be involved with all aspects of work done for a particular client. This ensures my days are full of variety and never boring! Also, I LOVE the people I work with. We are truly a team here.
What is your background, educational and professional?
I attended Oakland University and graduated in 2004. The following year I started working for a mid-size CPA firm in the Farmington Hills area. Shortly after starting there, the firm was merged into a much larger firm with about 650 staff members and 14 offices around the state. After a few years at the larger firm, I decided I needed a change. I prefer the smaller firm setting, where I have a chance to really connect with my clients.
