[1]You’re a Staff Accountant at ShindelRock–tell us about what you do for clients.
I have a variety of responsibilities, most of which are tax and accounting services for our clients. For business clients, I review financial records, prepare account reconciliations, evaluate expense classification, and analyze trends from year to year. For individual tax clients, I assist in tax planning and return preparation, and communicating with the IRS and other taxing agencies to resolve issues.
What do you like about your job and the work you get to do?
I like that I am able to use my organization and problem solving skills. Also, the staff at ShindelRock is extremely friendly and pleasant to work with.
How long have you been with ShindelRock? What do you like about the firm?
I joined ShindelRock in March of 2014. I like that the firm is small enough to provide customized personal service to clients, but also has the resources and expertise to handle large and complicated projects. We have a wonderful team of talented professionals.
What is your background, educational and professional?
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oakland University in 2004. After getting my degree, I worked for nine years with a small CPA firm. During that time, I became both an Enrolled Agent and a Certified Public Accountant.
