IRS-delayed-tax-refundsDue to recent IRS budget cuts, individuals who file paper tax returns could wait an extra week for their refund this year or possibly longer. And filers with errors or questions that require additional review will also face delays.

These budget cuts could also impact the IRS operations in other ways, including a longer hiring freeze, fewer resources dedicated to customer service, tax enforcement and overtime, and a possible two-day furlough for IRS employees.
