Firm Administrator
We’re looking for a Firm Administrator for our Oakland County-based accounting firm, with enough experience to hit the ground running and be an integral part of our team from day one. This is a long-term growth oriented position, and the right candidate who performs well and fits into our culture seamlessly can expect to be part of the firm’s executive team, and an integral component of the firm’s continued growth.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day operation of the firm, reporting directly to the Administrative Partner
- Lead and execute operational efficiencies and project management efforts for firm-wide changes focusing on client service and profitability
- Serve as the leader of Human Resources, Finance/Billing/Collections processes, Administration, Technology and Facilities, and Risk Management
- Carry out policies made by executive leadership and implement procedures necessary to ensure timely completion of all client work
- Oversee all Human Resources activities for the firm, including culture building, staff career nurturing, staff education process and opportunities
- Oversee and support the development of the administrative personnel and department
Competencies:
- Demonstrate self-awareness, using feedback and reflection to gain personal insight, high interpersonal effectiveness, and emotional intelligence
- Demonstrate patience and flexibility and ability to adapt to situations
- Demonstrate very strong written and oral communication skills with comfort addressing large groups of decision makers
- Be an effective project manager who can manage details and the big picture
Education and Experience:
- Five years of operations and administrative experience
- Demonstrated experience at the executive leadership level
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience managing a public accounting office, financial services or law firm would be ideal
